A "percentile" is a number where a certain percentage of values fall below that number. For example, if you are in the 70th percentile it means your value is higher than 70% of the other roles in your benchmark group.

Similarly, the value that LiveRem displays for the 90th percentile is the value that would need to be achieved to be higher than 90% of roles in the selected benchmark group.

How LiveRem calculates percentiles

LiveRem's percentiles are approximate percentiles, rather than a discrete value. If there are limited values in the dataset, LiveRem creates a normal distribution curve of the values available and estimates what the role percentile would be measuring against this curve.
