How to use the Market Data dashboard

Welcome to the Market Data Page! This guide will walk you through the steps to explore and analyse salary benchmarks for specific job titles in different locations. Our goal is to provide you with a seamless experience, allowing you to make informed decisions based on comprehensive market data.


Before you start

In order for Market Data insights to populate, you're required to complete integration process to link your HR and payroll systems to LiveRem. Please view the integration guide.

Searching Jobs

Selecting Jobs and Locations

Job Selection:

  • To select a job, click the Select jobs drop-down to find the jobs you're looking for

  • You can choose multiple roles from different job functions

  • To quickly find a specific role, start typing the job title in the search field within the drop-down

Location Selection:

  • Click on the Location field to select applicable Locations for the jobs you are looking for.

  • You can choose more than one location at a time.

You can refine your search by applying additional filters under Advanced Search

Advanced Search:

Adjust your search to find the most relevant results using four search filters:

  • Industry

  • Company Size

  • Revenue

  • New hiers only - shows roles hired in the last 3 months

  • Exclude founders

Browsing Results

Once you are satisfied with your selection, click on Browse Results to search the database

To protect data privacy, we have minimum data requirements before displaying results. If there aren’t enough data points available, you’ll see a message saying ‘Not enough data’. If this happens:

  • Try removing some filters, or

  • Search for a different role using the job tree

This ensures privacy-protected data is displayed.

Explore Market Data

Once your search returns results, a graph will display the market data for the selected jobs and locations.

You can see three visual options available on the top left corner of the graph such as

  • Chart - to see data in a graphical view

  • Table - the default view

  • Trends - to see a graph showing the behavior of roles over time

Analysing Data

Chart View

To see medians:

  • Use the Company, Male, and Female checkboxes to see median salary data.

  • This lets you compare the overall company median as well as gender-specific medians side by side.

Summary box

  • Click any specific job’s graph box to open a Summery Box with key info as in below image

Role Trends

  • By selecting Trends button, you’ll be able to view a graph illustrating how the value of a specific role has changed over time, along with historical data trends in an organised manner.

  • Hovering over a data point displays the salary/value at that point of time.

Export

  • Click the Export button to download an Excel file containing both percentile and trend data for your selected jobs and filters - ready for analysis and sharing.

Sharing Results

  • You’ll find the Share button on both the Chart and Trends views.

  • Clicking it allows you to download the search results as images, making it easy to share them with others.
