1. Set Up API Access in Definitiv
Management of API keys in Definitiv is restricted to users with the Manage API Keys permission.Before you begin, make sure the user who will own the API key has this permission assigned to their user Role.
Recommended: use a dedicated API user
We recommend generating the key against a dedicated API user (a service account) rather than a personal login. That way the integration keeps working even if an individual's account is later deactivated. Any user with the Manage API Keys permission can also generate a key on their own account — see the note at the end of this step if you prefer that option.
2. Generate the API Key in Definitiv
Generate the key for the dedicated API user via the User Listing:
Log in to Definitiv as a user with the Manage API Keys permission.
Click the user drop-down in the top right and select User Listing.
Find the user you want to own the API key and click Edit API Key.
Click Reset.
The value generated is the user's API Key. Copy it and store it securely -you'll paste it into LiveRem in Step 4.
Note - generating your own key instead: If you'd rather use your own account, click the user drop-down in the top right, select API Key, then click Reset. The generated value is your API Key.
3. Configure the Integration in LiveRem
• Log in to your LiveRem account.
• Navigate to the Integrations section in the settings menu.
• Select Definitiv and click Connect.
4. Provide the API Key
• Enter the API Key you generated in Definitiv into the LiveRem integration setup page.
5. Verify Data Sync
Once connected, LiveRem will automatically begin syncing data from Definitiv.
