This guide steps you through how to connect your Workday data to LiveRem using an Integration System User (ISU).

Once connected, LiveRem provides real-time benchmarking insights by accessing your organisation’s worker, payroll, and compensation data via Workday's APIs.

Step 1: Create an Integration System User (ISU)

  1. Log in to your Workday tenant.

  2. Search for the task Create Integration System User.

3. Create the ISU by assigning a Username and Password.

4. Configure the Domain Security Policy Permissions for the Security Group in a way that’s relevant to your use case.

5. Activate Security Policy Changes to review all updates that need to be approved.

6. Search Public Web Services and gather your WSDL.

7. Using your WSDL, ISU Username, and ISU Password, you should be able to authenticate to the Workday API.

8. Save these credentials securely. You will need to login to LiveRem securely.

Step 2: Configure Security Policies and Permissions

  • Search for the task Maintain Permissions for Security Group.

  • Select the Security Group you created.

  • Grant GET (read) access to the following Domain Security Policies:

Step 5: Retrieve the Workday Web Services Endpoint URL

  • In Workday, search Public Web Services.

  • Select the Human Resources API service.

  • Click View WSDL.

  • Copy the WSDL URL. This is your Web Services Endpoint URL.

Example format:

Step 6: Login to LiveRem to Setup Your Connection

  • Once all steps are completed, log in to LiveRem and select Integrations on the left-hand menu.
